Our Lord and Savior

I'm very thankful for Doctors & the knowledge they have, there is so much contentment in knowing that Doctors don't have the final say in our healing. Remembering to Praise the Lord IN all things!

October 7th

Praise the Lord......... my hands are much better and we got back on our treatment schedule this week!  The weather is beautiful and we're enjoying seeing the changing leaves of Fall.

We had a wonderful time with Brian & Jody this past weekend.  It sure was hard to see them leave!  We're missing family, friends & home so bad.  We're probably going to be here thru the week before Thanksgiving. We really WANT to be home for the holidays so we can see all of the family.  For that to happen, we can't have any more extentions in my treatments.

Praises:
*** Jody & Brian got to come see us & had a safe trip back home
***Treatments are back on schedule
***Blood work is still normal
***Sores are leaving

Prayer Requests:
***Pray that my skin accepts the radiation treatments
***That itching would continue to get better
***That God will be glorified thru this trial
***Safety & protection for family at home
***That we can share our faith with others

  1. Hi Joyce and Leon,
We are so glad that you had a good visit with Jody and Brian and that the treatments are back on schedule. Zion is still the city of God even the one in Illinois. Chuck will be getting IV iron weekly for two weeks at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He's been battling anemia for a long time. We're hopeful that this will "jump start" his own production of iron. We celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary on the 26th. Imagine that! Love you both, Mary Jane

  2. Ms.Joyce and Leon,

It is such a lovely day in NWA. In the low 80's and sun is shining. All the kids are coming today abd will meet for lunch in Fayetteville.A very dear couples daughter is getting married today at the U of A. It is on the lawn in front of Old Main.ALl the kids grew up together. The dad,Pat,used to own Dawn Hill.Michael worked for him since 14 til he sold it several years ago. He is a Dad to Michael. When Mike left,Pat took Michael under his wing. They have been to Dallas to see the Cowboys play, been fishing and just doing guy things. He gets Father's day cards from Michael and calls for advise. His wife Gerianne,I call her my Kansas Sister! I love her like a sister! Their son graduated with Melissa. We kept trying to hook Nate and Melissaup as Gerianne and I wanted to "in-laws" to each other...and with Melissa's blue eyes, curly dark hair and snow white complexion, and Nates dark eyes and darker complexion...we said their babies would be so cute!!!!However,God had other plans for them!ha Ally(bride) went to school with Jake.

We are also taking this time to surprise Mom with a BD party. Her BD is on the 30th but who knows when the next time we get the kids togther!!!Probably won't be until Thansgiving. We have a cake from Chuck's cake shop. YUMMY!

The Panthers got whooped last night. I came home at the beginning of the 4th quarter. The air was getting a bit dampish. I have what started out as allergies, now bronchitis or pneumonia. No temp but cough, cough, cough. I started antibotics Thursday. Coughing up awful gunk but hoefully will feel 100% by Monday.

Got a big Razorbak game on TV today at 2:00 I think. Who plans a wedding during football season!!!!!hahaha

Glad you got to see your kids. I enjoyed seiing your pictures. Hang in there girl...you are half way done with treatments. Have a great week end! HEARTS!!!! PS Give your doggie a tummy rub from me! :)

  3. Hi Joyce, I just had to tell you that we had Friends meeting this morning and I just got home. It will be so wonderful when you get home and we can get together again. We had "friendly fellowship" at the English Tearoom. We love the owners, Rob and Dawn and their son, Luke. We had a good turn out: Margaret Paulzine, Sherry Lewis, Sue Ryan, Linda Carter, Linda Schrader, Becky Glunt, Debbie Niccum, Diana Chase(new), Julie Roy(new), and me. We sat at three tables and learned a new thing about each one at our table and then moved around to a different table and did the same. We prayed specially for Sherry. Her daughter is getting married and Sherry and her husband are invited(miracle) and going. There will be people there who in the natural might be intimidating to Sherry. So please join us in praying that she and Jim will have a wonderful time and be a blessing to Candace, her daughter. Chuck is working (yay!!!) at Wasson's answering the phone today. He loves to work, bless his heart. I know it makes him feel good to be able to do something.
Give our love to Leon. He's such a sweet man. You knew that didn't you. My grandson taught me a new abbreviation...lqtm...laughing quietly to myself. I absolutely LOVE it. Feel free to use it and do it any time you want:) Love, Mary Jane
